My name is Andrea Torres-Cortes

I am a UCSB student taking a UC online writing course. The class's main focus is animal science and I will be focusing on aves but more specifically hummingbirds! I will be using this site to post about my animal science research and content from the class! This class will help me expand my research skills and develop science communication skills that will help me create articles targeted towards a general audience.

What's this website for?

This website is a portfolio of the work that I did while taking the online course WR60 which focused on animal science. On this site, I posted blog updates about our weekly assignments. Check out my last blog post to read about the challenges that I faced and what I learned from this course!
