This week on Twitter Tuesday I followed a few hummingbird accounts! These accounts include @humming_club which posts facts, pictures, and videos about hummingbirds, @Hummingbird_hav which posts daily humminbird content, and @Hummingbirdsteb which posts about hummingbirds’ behavior and shares information about the preservation of hummingbirds!

I also posted two new tweets! Using ChatGPT, I found many remarkable stories about Colibri Hummingbirds. I asked ChatGPT to tell me true stories about Colibris and humans, Colibris’ relationships, Colibris mating, and Colibris’ culture. The most heartwarming and intriguing stories that ChatGPT provided (in my opinion), were stories about humans finding joy in Colibris. The story that stood out to me the most was the story of how a Colibri hummingbird provided joy and comfort to an Ecuadorian community after they had experienced a devastating earthquake.

Some of my classmates’ stories that stood out to me included Azucena’s post about a pair of penguins named Pierre and E.T. (Extra Toes). I love learning about animals’ relationships with humans and one another and this story was a representation of exactly that! These two penguins were seen swimming together frequently and they were described as “inseparable companions”.

This week I also responded to one of my classmate’s blogs. I responded to Julianna Granillo’s week 4 blog in which Julianna talked about the new information she found through her research. Julianna found that dogs feel most comfortable with their caregivers. As I read this, I thought to myself “sounds like me”... except not “caregivers” but rather my family and friends.

I had fun exploring stories through ChatGPT and interacting with my classmates this week and I can’t wait to see what we’ll do next Twitter Tuesday!

Hi Andrea! The story you found using ChatGPT is beautiful! It amazes me how natural disasters and events, such as earthquakes, can contribute to greater wildlife-human interactions. My knowledge of humming bird colbri species is limited, but I look fowarding to learning more about them through your research!
