Twitter Tuesday: Week 8

This infographic provides more information about the threats that affect Hummingbirds’ lives. 

This week I used Canva to create my infographic. I looked through multiple templates and I ultimately chose a green theme because the animal I am researching is the Green Violetear (Colibri). Despite my focus on Colibri hummingbirds, it is difficult to find articles and sources that specifically pertain to colibris; therefore, my sources and images mostly apply to all hummingbird species. I searched Google for images about hummingbirds. I found one that stated facts and another that provided information about how to identify Ruby-Throated hummingbirds. The other three images related more to the problem I am analyzing. They provide details to help keep hummingbirds alive. For example, one of the infographics explains how “many hummingbird feeders are placed near windows[...]” which ultimately leads to window collisions which are “often deadly.” Overall, I look forward to learning more about how to help these little creatures avoid deadly threats.
